Title: 67 Fastback Drip rail Mouldings
Post by: orgnl70 on October 02, 2017, 09:23:34 PM
Can some one tell me what material these drip rails are made from.? They are magnetic but I don't think there plated steel.
Maybe a 400 series Stainless?

The drip rail mouldings are stainless. Be careful if you are going to polish them however. The polishing process on drip rail mouldings (coupe and fastback) seems to shrink them a bit making them a lot harder to install. I have my polisher knock out any dents and prep for final polishing, install them on the car, and do the final polish on the car. It work very well. As a side note, I have not had any issues installing the Dynacorn reproduction drip rail mouldings (fastbacks only, coupes.....another story). They seem to fit well.
