Steering Box Rebuilders that can Spray Weld?
« on: February 06, 2011, 06:25:00 PM »
A while back, I remember reading a post--I think--about Randy from Stangerssite.  Several people were suggesting alternative restoration companies.  I remember clicking a link and reading about a company that specifically advertised being able to service worn rack blocks, input shafts, and sector gears by spray welding and re-machining them.  Now, of course, I can't find any trace of that company!!  Does this ring a bell with anyone?  I searched this site, which is where I thought I read about that company to begin with.  However, after an hour of searching, I hit nothing.  Any ideas?

Sure, that'd be great.  Seems like I've heard that name before.

Contact info for Roger Rodes is 419-468-5182. Don't know about the welding term you used but he can add material to a worn part and then machine it to factory spec. Did a great job on my gearbox. Can't wait to drive it this summer. It's snowing again. After the 22" got last Tuesday can't wait for spring to arrive. When does the gopher stick his head outa the hole in Penn?
