1967 Fastback 289 2V Engine Mounts

Hello All,
I am working on the car in the subject.  I went to purchase motor mounts on line and I found a "significant" number of negative reviews and discussions of them not fitting which shocked me.  I am not sure what is going on here, some installations seem to have went great and others totally did not fit.  I also saw some discussions on here about a tall and short mount, but they were old threads with broken links and I could not make sense of the topic.

I am doing significant chassis work in this area, and my intention is to build a light weight mock up of the engine and transmission so I can check fit from time to time.  I do not have the original parts to compare against so I want to be sure I have the dimensionally correct parts.

The shop manual and chassis assembly manual only call out one assembly for this installation.  This should be a straightforward issue.  Are the reproduction parts just not consistent / accurate?

Should I try to find another vendor?  or an OEM part?

I would hate to mock something up to the wrong dimensions.  Can anyone offer any insight into this issue or advice?  Much Thanks in advance.
Rick

1967 small block mounts have not been made for many years. There are none available other than originals. Most folks change out the frame mounts to 1968 versions so that is an option. To make the 1968 rubber isolators work you have to change the frame stands as well. 1967 frame stands and 1968 rubber isolators is why you see folks bad mouthing their supplier. That doesn't work!

Thank you - I figured that there had to be a reason. So question:  If I buy reproduction 1967 motor mounts is that what I am getting or are they 1968 motor mounts mislabeled?  Is there a definite way to tell?  Drawing or Dimension?

Fair number of prior threads on the issue. Found them by just using the words "67 motor mounts" so there are likely even more
Just a few below. Not much has changed in other ten years

No one is making a reproduction 1967 engine isolator mount. They have not been made for many years. If someone is calling them that they are mistaken.
