Sorry if this has been covered before! I have a Sep 65 Fastback Metuchen built. Were the two hinges that hold the trap door painted or not? Thanks.

So this is for a 1966 NJ built fastback built in Sept 65.

Yes they were painted not left bare steel or plated

For your car they would likely match the interior color/trap door color

Guess you didn't check or you have yet to discover the 66 Unrestored Picture section

If you search for the thread titled "Spring 66 NJ C Code Fastback - Unrestored Picture Thread" you will see an original example of this practice

I am new to this site which I must say is really helpful and I am just finding my way around it. I appreciate your help and time, yes I did think interior color. Thanks
