Title: Holes in Trunk
Post by: bryancobb on April 10, 2010, 07:03:44 PM
Hi Folks,
I'm about ready to paint the inside of my trunk.  Just a few details left.

This question pertains to the piece of sheet metal, in the trunk, that the front of the gas tank screws to.  Mine has(2) 3/8" holes, about 12" apart, approximately cetered left-to-right, a couple of inches forward of the tank flange, just as the piece of sheet metal curves upward toward the back of the rear seat.

I want to weld the holes up, if they don't belong.  I don't think they are suppose to be there??

Please respond if you can help.
Thanks

Not sure if these pictures cover the area you described - but if so then I don't see them

Car was built approx just after yours

Hope this helps
