I'm finding C8AF rather than the higher amp one you listed.
(Positive battery cable appears to be a reproduction)

Looks like the yellow stamped HD versions are very popular on "restored" cars

When I cleaned up my car around 2000 I bought an AMK unit that was the DOAF. The original was on the car and I think I got the same numbered repo deal. Been seeing lately the C8TF deal being in the mix and thought I might have disremembered....It has been awhile

What I posted is what I found on a number of original cars. Maybe the transition is related to when your car was built and plant

Could be Jeff..My car is a very late 70 BOSS 302

Since this was posted 5 years ago, does anyone have any new information?
My understanding is,
C8TF (yellow stamping) is for Boss 302 built in April 70 and EARLIER?
C8AF (silver stamping) is for Boss 302 built in May 70 and LATER?
Does line up with what the CJ's and other cars with 55amp alternators received?
