Title: 65/66 mustang radiator
Post by: 65fastbk on January 17, 2018, 06:58:50 PM
Hi,

Does this look original?  It has round straps on the top (looks different to me) so maybe SJ but no castings on the top.

Thanks,

Mark

A SJ radiator would at the very least have the date code on the top tank.

In your pictures the shape of the side straps are not even close to the same shape as a Modine/San Jose style and neither is the shape of the side strap design. San Jose dud have flanges on bot sides during 65-66 for Mustang application

One in your picture the straps are some what pointed then round unlike this example

And here are a couple of pictures of the side strap design. Dearborn and NJ were similar in this way. Unlike the style your pictures show with flanges on both sides of the straps
