Hi guys. Working on a 1970 XR-7 Cobra Jet convertible and need to order tires for it. My question is, what brand of tires came on this car as OEM?
The Marti report says F-70x14 raised white letters, but does not specify brand. Would they be Goodyear or Firestone? I really didn't think Firestones were available, but not sure.
Thanks, any help would be appreciated. Pete.

Normally if not specified on the Marti report they would be Goodyear Polyglas. Your build date will determine whether you need "no sized" or "sized" tires.

Super. Thanks for the info. The car has a build date of October, '69.
-
That would be a "no size" tire then.
This is an original spare tire from a second week of October Cougar Eliminator.

Awesome! Thanks again.

Nice info on the Kelsey Tires site;

^ mouse over the tire images to bring up details on each tire style. Mine also has an Oct '69 build date, so these are what I have bookmarked for my "someday" restoration ;-)
