Finishing up a rare 70 b9 orange/white interior for MCACN show that was bought from original owner a lady who went to buy a boss 302 and got talked into buying the 429 if dealer added the spoiler and louvers so it looked like a 302. She had parking stickers on car for a government job in the local courthouse. This special car had all important parts still on car down to the original engine tag so we did a concours resto using mostly nos and original parts. There will be a surprise feature car coming for the ford display a REAL gt40 just after the movie ford vs ferrari comes out. Rex myers northern Indiana called me recently wanting to show his newly restored only one alan mann lightweight gt40 that he has owned since late 70s. So I called bob ashton (who runs MCACN show)  and he said he would find a place for THAT special car since the show was sold out. Most people have never seen a REAL gt40 since they seldom get out in the public so this car will be the hit of the show since the movie just came out.  Pete I have a nos odd ford sheel metal part I am bringing u for your collection.

Had b9 cougar there at KAR KRAFT display 2 years ago taking the 70 orange /white int. b9 I am working on now

I looked at the #1 1965 Shelby yesterday with Bob Perkins. Great car, nice work and I love the concept of what you are doing!

That would be #003 ;)   Yes glad they went this direction for this show. Have tried to get the owners of a number of historic cars to do this over the years. Nick was the first one to carry it through. 

Another possibility was to do two cars one as delivered to Shelby (or other builder) and one after. Maybe another car(s) car owner will consider this extreme possibility. Or maybe do the conversion (from as delivered from Ford to as delivered to first customer) at the show.  Just pushing the envelope a bit :)
