Title: 1964 1/2 wheel opening moldings
Post by: mikeljgt500kr on April 08, 2023, 07:34:16 PM
Did the '64 1/2 come with the chrome moldings around the wheel openings? I see some holes in the rear that look like something should be in the opening.  Thanks!

No

Maybe what you found were the attachment holes for mud flaps. Not an usual find for some regions.

Dealers even had kits to install generic versions that sold across the counter those many were pretty ugly IMHO

aha, not moulding holes. those were used during the bucking process for alignment between the panels. all mustangs have those.

Fully understand. In judging that is also the case. "What goes there" or "What did they leave off"  Sometimes, depending on year and model there is a reason for an unused hole but it does draw your eye.
