What would be the correct door jamb light switch for my 64.5 Dearborn coupe? Half of the catalogues I have say it should have a metal bezel, others say the "correct, early" switch should have a white plastic bezel. Anyone know which is really correct, thanks.

The plastic type is what I have seen around that time. Sometime later in '65 Dearborn production, the metal ones were used.

Thanks Charles, I appreciate your response.

Figure I better make one clarification... you want the white plastic with no markings. The Autolite ones weren't used until later.

Like to add that my Feb. 65 C-code Dearborn made Coupe has the
metal ones while my early May 65 San Jose made Shelby use the plastic ones
without any markings.

So certainly a (late) July 1965 Dearborn car would have the metal ones?

Yes, appears that was what was in use at that time period... at least for Dearborn.

Thanks Again Charles! I'm going to swap the plastic ones out for the metal ones then....if anyone needs the plastic (no marking) ones I've got a very lightly used set...please pm or email me.
