Decals/Stamps

(1/1)

GhiaBill:
Guys, I am trying to collect original parts so that I can have stamps made to replicate the original markings on things like hoses, belts, coils, and anything else that might be useful. Anything that I come up with would be available to anyone going for a concours restoration. If you run up on anything that had an original part number on it and you think "gee that would be nice to have a new one of", if you could send it to me or take a good quality picture with some kind of scale to judge size by, I would really apreciate it. Also, I am trying to get reproduction emissions decals made. Right now, '76n and '78 V8 manual transmissions are the only ones available. I have been assured that I can get this done but they need originals to work by so that they can get the fonts and colors correct. I have got to call them back this week and see if they can use one that is still on the valve cover for instance or if it needs to be removed. If you have any good ones, let me know and I'll try to get them done. I hope that all of this stuff may make it easier to build a concours cars and maybe more people will be willing to try.

Bill,
I am working on the part number stamp, on the air cleaner snorkel of
my 78'  If any one needs that.
The 302 automatic decal is available , green instead of blue? and the number is of course different? in the upper right hand corner?
We are talking about the driver side valve cover decal? That is sometime on the under side of the hood?

GhiaBill:
Yeah Jake, that's the one we're talking about. The green one, I believe is for a California emissions equipped car. It did not match the one that came off of my car. I have two of those in a box in my shop.
