MCA GRAND IN DC

Hoping to see some of you there. My 67 isn't going but will have my '05 judged in O.D.

That ought to learn me a little ;)

I'll also be on the 67-68 team with Johnny & company so if you are one of those we will be judging, be warned: I am a stickler for details :D This site has schooled me on things I never knew and the few times I've judged...I learn more. My experience in judging has enlightened me that yes, certain classes are more detailed in the requirements but that often times, only NOTES are made rather than deductions...I thought we may be stricter than we are. Good to know how the structure of judging is designed more to have you IMPROVE the car than it is for being punitive.

See you there!

We had a great time. I met a few more members and saw several of you again.

Our '05 got SILVER in OD, which is a little better than the BRONZE I felt we would likely get. I knew of several flaws that may have passed for DD, but wouldn't fly on OD that were not dealt with beforehand.

Looking forward to making the corrections listed on the sheets. I did several other repairs before going that I knew would bounce it out of any award so SILVER made us very happy since I felt GOLD wasn't even a possibility.

The last picture represents how I felt when we got home...The MESSAGE CENTER in the dash showing 2 MILES FROM EMPTY as I pull off the freeway exit being 2 miles from home! (it was showing ZERO right as we arrived at the driveway!)

It was nice to see you and John at the show. Congrats on your award.
My granddad always said it is better to work off the top half of the fuel tank. After he brought me some gas.
