Topic: connecting rod colored

Hello Guys,

As you can see on pictures lelow, I have an original connecting-rod partially colored in red (on the cylinder n?1). Do you know if that mean someting in particular with assemblig process?

Ford would sometimes copper plate one of the connecting rods. It started in the early days, in the 1920's. I've heard various stories that explain it as some sort of signal to shut down the connecting rod line either for the shift or the day. It seems there is no problem with the connecting rods that was remedied by the copper plating. You find them often, in all sorts of Ford engines.
