1968 Dash Pad from Dashes Direct

(1/1)

OldMil:
Does anyone have any experience with this dash, and if so, comments to quality and if it's close to the original?  Thanks!
Jack

Munypit:
I ran into a couple of guys at a car show that have used Dashes Direct and were very pleased with the fit and quality of their work.  Both of their cars were 1970's Mach 1's though.  I hope they were correct as I just sent my dash to them yesterday (1969 Mach 1) for a complete restoration.

I am curious what that restoration of a 69/70 dash will cost?

Munypit:
Around $1,500 to $1,800.  Upper price is for color match.  Add 40% to the total if you want a rush job which still takes about six weeks.  This is information that I got directly from Dashes Direct on 03/07/24 for my 69 Mach 1 with A/C dash.  I would think a 68 would be somewhere in the same ballpark.  If you want a quote from them, they'll want all the details of your car and some pictures of your dash.  They'll want it shipped to them by FedEx or UPS and they suggest letting them box it up for you.  I can tell you firsthand that UPS is incredibly expensive for this service.  All told it was $285 to ship from Idaho to California.  I don't know if FedEx would be cheaper.  Hope this helps with what direction you decide to go OldMil.  I'll post some pictures when I get mine back.

OldMil:
Thanks All, I just bought one from a retiring outlet.  It is the correct color from Dashes Direct.  $220.00 included the shipping.  Thanks again!
