65 V8 Convertible air cleaner snorkel

Did Ford just cut the standard snorkel to clear the brace on convertibles or was it a different stamping?  How can you tell if you have an original convertible snorkel or a coupe / fastback version that has a DYI cut?

ford cut them at the start of production. later on i believe they were stamped that way. i'm sure someone will correct me on this. however they were all cut but not by owners.
