Title: Ignition switch
Post by: 68 GT on March 19, 2024, 09:53:02 PM
I will need to purchase an ignition switch and door locks for the 67 coupe restoration we?re doing because I don?t have the key for the car. Has anyone purchased a replacement ignition switch with door locks and keys? NPD has 22050-2B that I?m considering, just curious if anyone else has used that part number before.

Thanks

There is a key code on the one of the door lock cylinders. A key can be cut from that code. It is usually on the driver side lock cylinder but sometimes is on the passenger side.
Is your ignition switch lock cylinder missing?

Ah, didn?t know that there was a code on one of the door locks! I believe I have both door locks and the ignition switch??somewhere! I will have to dig around and see what I can find! Thank you!!

I finally took the time to search for the door locks and ignition switch, found them! The code on the door lock cylinder, where about would I find it? I see a Ford part number on the short linkage that is attached to the door lock cylinder. But I sure don?t see any numbers on the cylinders themselves. Am I missing something?
