that weird because the white floor its really from a 68 fastback..it's a forum for a full restoration for this 68 !

In both of the examples you showed someone has been in there before - not unrestored - altered. The seat cushion "hooks" on the white example are the style not normally used on fastbacks but on other body styles in 68. Maybe someone got confused or missed this detail when they rebuilt the cars body.
Also consider that the taller brackets would not work very well with the very thin (when compared to the coupe and convertible) lower cushions - too tall for such a thin fastback cushion and frame.

So the question would be is the white floor originally from a 68 fastback or just what is there when they took the picture? One of the challenges/problems  IMHO of using "restored" cars as references. Looks like someone made a mistake - hopefully you've not been using this example for a guide for your restoration.

yes perfect , thanks for your help..just want to make sure to do it good the first times...and 67-68 mustang are very rare over here..it's hard for me to go see one unrestored !

Could it be the base for mounting the front bracket for the rear view mirror attachment?
Just a thought ?
Remember I have a 67 Fastback, not sure if it is 100% the same.

I don't think it's a match, see the side-by-side comparison. Even if it did, it wouldn't apply to Mathieu's '68 - the mirror mounted to the windshield glass starting in '68.

Remember its a reproduction part - it doesn't have to match - or look the same - just fill a need.  Measurement of the two (if we had that) would help

Good point. If that's the case, they did much better reproducing the other brackets.

Did a bit of looking at those bracket kits. The ones listed for 65-66 show the same piece. Maybe they copied a 65-66 bracket and included it in their 67-68 kit? I couldn't find any photos of a 65-66 bracket to compare (assuming they even had them...).
