Title: 1969 Boss 302 Carburetor Idle Solenoid Wire Color
Post by: Gcodecowboy on August 19, 2021, 11:48:11 AM
What is the correct color of the Carburetor Idle Solenoid Wire on a 1969 Boss 302 built on June 27th? I have seen both red and blue.
Thank you,
Mike

Agree your looking for the blue separate wire between the long blue wire and the solenoid. Some times referred to as the spade style wire. Not the short blue wire attached directly to the solenoid as used in 70 - up

I have seen the red wire on 1971 (and probably later) Solenoids.

Yes red wire directly attached to the solenoids for later cars and the part was used as a service replacement for the earlier version that my be why some people see them on the early Boss
