There, I fixed It -
« on: February 16, 2014, 05:58:35 PM »
A friend recently bought a 66 Hardtop to be used as a daily driver. This is what he found used as a battery clamp. The "technical" aspects are (at least the ones that are easy to figure out) as follows: the bolt is metric, a grade 9.9, 8X0.125X62 all millimeters; the "nut" looks like one used on fenders; the block is anyone's guess.
I will put this valuable artifact in with the rest of the junk treasures I've recovered.

PS, the quarter is for size reference (it was the first thing I grabbed).
I promise to be politically correct in all my posts to keep the BBBB from vociferating.

Might fit well in the "What was the PO thinking" thread

Just so I follow - this was used to retain the battery to the tray or one of the cables to a post ??   :o

Battery clamp replacement item/assembly/kluge/obscenity, no electrical current goes thru the item. I asked the same question. From a "fix-it" standpoint it gets at least a 4 on the 5 scale.
