Bossman963:
1st anybody got pic of the following?
I need to know what exactly is white besides the seats, door panels, rear fiberglass extension

Do the hockey sticks, rear lower window trim, and anything else get painted/dyed white for an original car?

J_Speegle:
Do you have an original fold down car or a non-fold down?  Makes a different as to parts used and how they were finished in some areas. Also knowing which white interior or even the code would help also since deluxe interiors have a few different parts when compared to standard interiors. While we're at lit it might even help to know when and where the car was built just in case there are differences between production periods and even plants.

Using the search feature I found an earlier thread discussing 70 white interior rear panels and their finishes. I used the words "70 White Interior" Also put my screen name in for user to limit the first search area to find threads

Guess you didn't check out the library for the list of parts that got painted. Taken from period paint instructions and such. If you haven't check out the Library under 1970 Mustang and look down the list to - Paint Codes, 1970 Interior & Exterior  - Information and reprints of period paint codes

That is a start.

When we hear back on the rear seat question then unrestored examples can be posted.  ;)

Bossman963:
OK here is the info needed or requested

1st of all yes it's an original fold-down seat Mustang:

a Dearborn car, built 10/31/69, white rhino/corinthian interior vinyl buckets seats.

the supplier of the upholstery was Mustang Market on the East Coast, I took a sample and had an exact match dye in 1 qt made to match that upholstery, so there are not 2 different colors that are in the car.

So here is my list and I did look at the pics on the thread you provided- in white should be door panels, headliner, seat hinges, hockey sticks, and sail panels.

Just to clarify the 1/4 fiberglass panel next to the trap door, and lower window molding are in black  Can you give me the black color for those panels- metallic charcoal???

thx Mike

J_Speegle:
Last question first since its the easiest. Any parts that were spray painted "black" would have been painted with Dark Charcoal Metallic paint. There were two different finishes used one a lower gloss for a couple of parts when compared to the other larger parts - Just to clarify the 1/4 fiberglass panel next to the trap door, and lower window molding, dash, dash pad extensions (these were a slightly lower gloss)

Will find and post some pictures from examples

Bossman963:
ok thx  much as that's what I was think the color was
