Hood paint question

Regarding the center intake duct on the hood,  what finish/color would be expected in the area inside the duct (the slightly concealed area within the duct) ?   Was it semi black or rather overspray body color.

Not sure when you car was completed at AO Smith. Might or might not make a difference.

Did you happen to see picture EXT2 in the  70 GT500 - Possible April/May Built- Unrestored Picture Thread?

Will see how many others I can find and post

Looks like that is the best picture of the details Unfortunately it's not a close as I would like of the detail

But as far as the treatment of the center scoop and painting I would say that unlike Shelby built cars AO Smith masked off each scoop opening in the hood to reduce or eliminate over spray into these openings.
