Title: 69 Boss 302 Front Spoiler
Post by: J_Speegle on February 17, 2010, 01:33:12 AM
Had someone ask about a comparison between one of the reproduction front spoilers and a NOS one on another site.

Didn't want our group to miss out on the info

69 back side - no markings in the spoiler. Tape on the back held the mounting hardware and an instruction sheet

NOS lower one - older (about 5 years ago) reproduction the upper one

Texture - looks really close to me. Repo may have a little more

I did notice a difference in the finish of the ends - notice the point

and a defined "ridge" in the center of the original - none in the reproduction

Hope this helps

Jeff I know this post has been here a while but my dumb question.  The reproduction spoiler is on the car ?  Thanks,  Brian

No its not

Correct Since there is a possibility in me striking something with my driver (well it was at that point) I choose to run one of the Canadian repos and not the NOS (lower in the picture) one

I have a couple of pictures that shows some details from a different angle. One is the ridge at the center below the lic. plate and another that runs the entire length of the spoiler front lower edge.  The NOS piece would actually be a service replacement with part number C9ZZ-63001A74-A ?  If these photos do not agree with your part  please remove.  Brian
