66 Hertz stripe formula
« on: November 29, 2014, 06:22:39 PM »
Hi,currently restoring 6S683 here in Australia and getting ready for paint. I'm having trouble with the gold stripe formula. I have tried a spray out with the Branda supplied gold dust and also the 'Inca Gold' #43496 supplied by my Dupont rep. They are nothing alike, the gold dust mix being more copper in appearance. I intend to paint the car clear over base and hope someone can help me with a correct 'gold basecoat formula.
The other option was to scan the side stripe colour which is different again. Your help would be appreciated. Cheers,Shane.

Since I've not painted a Hertz in recent years I can't offer personal experience. Not sure if you checked over on the SAAC site but there are a number of threads related to what others have found - good and bad.

You may notice that the threads get off track a bit :) but plenty there to offer
