Title: Scott Drake windlace
Post by: tnguy624 on May 06, 2015, 09:34:44 AM
Scott Drake is now selling correct for 66 basket weave pattern windlace, it only comes in black. I have a 66 Mustang convertible 6 cylinder built in Dearborn Jan 17, 66, with a pony interior and interior trim 62 blue/white.

Would the interior paint for the pony interior, the light blue metallic, be the right color to paint the windlace. I know that the plastic colors of things like dashpad, and windlace where not the exact colors of the painted colors, so I'm know sire if the light metallic blue would be the right color. If not what color would be. I'm trying to get ready for the Grovetown GA. show.

Thanks is advance for any help and advice
Terry

Do you have any of the original wind lace?  Would be best to match it.  You'll have to dye the wind lace with a quality paint, spray can paint is not going to hold up, it will peel off onto contact areas and chip easily in the door jamb.
