check out the pic on my June 1970 Dearborn convertible....

its just a year code.....I thought all would be year,month.........

Interesting very different from other 70's I have or have seen (typical date code pattern)

thats what I thought too Jeff.......

BTW no rear end tag on it.............I know anything can happen after 40 years but were they consistant on putting the tag on everytime or was it common for a tag not to be installed sometimes?
