Title: Front outer bumper bracket

Is this bracket (and screw) supposed be body color, or some other finish? Dec '68 San Jose car, if it matters.

No - the outer bumper bracket painted semi-gloss black would be original. Body color ones you've seen might be a result of a tape and shot paint job in the car's past

Thanks. On my car it was body colored when I got it.

Agreed...these are always black on the originals I have seen here.
