I entered my 64.5 in its first MCA show at Myrtle Beach last weekend and walked away with a gold. There is no way I could have won any award without the help I received from everyone on this forum. This was my first restoration and I was really surprised to have placed at all. So thank you to everyone who mentored me through the process. You all built the car I just followed your lead.

Yes, congratulations. You must be very happy. Brian

Congratulations! That is a major accomplishment. You don't know how many professional restoration shops strive to do just what you did, as a beginner. Well done sir!

Congrats! Great accomplishment! I agree, the participants on this board are absolutely wonderful. I have learned so much here (and am still learning) that I can't thank everyone here enough. You all have my deepest gratitude.

Well done !!
I was there, which was your Mustang? Post a piC?

That's awesome the best outcome any of us could hope for. Some pics would be great.

There where 3 of us from Texarkana. mine is the Sliver Smoke Gray.

Too bad we didn't meet. I had the 64.5 pace car there and had finished the restoration on the '65 GT350 down at the end of the row.
I thought the Honey Gold car was about the closest match to the original color I have seen.

I was going to go but I had to work. Congratulations!

Love that color. All 3 are beautiful cars!!

Congrads - don't see many that color so IMHO the car stood out from the crowd.
Well done and thanks for the kind comments about the members and the site

The Honey Gold belongs to Mike Sinyard. He painted both his and mine. Mike and I went down and looked at your pace car but you were not around. Very nice car. Anyway I am already signed up for Pensacola and KC next year. Hope to see everyone there.

Congratulations-looks great! ;)

I was there, saw those three cars, very nice.

Congrats. As a fellow '64.5 owner who mostly just finished a (sorta) restoration when the paint got done this summer, I'm jealous. Not sure I'd be willing to have mine judged tho. Even at the occ driven level, there's probably too much detail that I'm not picky enough about.
That you did it yourself, much respect.

Awesome job and well deserved!!! ;)
