Title: 65-67 brake rotors
Post by: 67gt390fb on February 21, 2018, 02:47:57 AM
saw these on ebay, not mine.  ordered a pair,  they have the name "century"  cast on backside, and came in a raybestos box part # 6004            https://www.ebay.com/itm/142691684769?ViewItem=&vxp=mtr&item=142691684769

Bought a set a while back and had fitment issues with the depth of the center where the wheel bearing attaches.  Was with optional wheels though, I wouldn't think an issue with steel wheels/wheel covers.

A great buy but the shipping is typically adds up. It still is a great deal considering IMO . Get them before they are gone . That is a obsolete Raybestos number I believe.

The fine print on the eBay listing says  - We have a couple of these available, so the one you receive may look slightly different from the one pictured, but is guaranteed to be NEW.

Hopefully what you get is a 2 piece design.

I asked them about that and they said not a problem. Yes it made me wonder. Mine came in fine . That was a few months ago from the same seller.

And now, after I dipped my toe in, there is only 1.
I'm tired of not jumping on stuff like this and then moaning about it later.

You would buy two not just one . The auction has a process to buy multiples up to the amount the seller has . It was 5 when I looked earlier . If only one now then . I guess you snooze you lose

Where did the rest of my sentence go - there is now only 1 left?
Probably left it in my head.

He had 3.
I bought 2.
1 left.

Back in April '16 I bought several sets from same vender (it is Kanter Auto) for 64.99 apiece.  They must have acquired pallet loads of these.  They keep raising price -  apparently as their supply runs lower.

Well, they might have looked like a good deal. Did you notice the same seller was selling the same part for a Fairlane for $69. Yes it’s the same part. Now the Mustang rotor is resisted at $149. Each.

Ok now that we have that. Did you know they can still be purchased at RockAuto for much less. Plus shipping.  And if you look around you can find a discount code.
Raybestos 6004R $34.79
Bendix PRT1017 $27.99

Both include the hub and studs. C5zz -a or b

Glad I got in on this yesterday before they went up again, guess they're running out...

I've been searching for a good looking two piece design prior to these becoming available to drive on, I searched high and low all over the web for a two piece design, even aftermarket, every website and every place that showed a two piece design on their site I would call and they would go look and it would be the one piece newer china items, they'd say whoops, we have to change our website... so be careful if you find a two piece design online, make sure to call and be sure it actually is before ordering...

Rotors are here and I'm pleased.
While not assembly line with the notch and hole in the wheel mating face, these are two part and Raybestos 6004 old stock.

If you want pics, here is the exact same set for sale not too long ago. Mine were around $250 delivered.

Nice, yours arrived, was the condition good or were there any signs of shelf age (rust)? Looking forward to mine arriving...
