Title: HiPo Autolite 4100 for Holley 3259 carburetor?
Post by: evantugby on March 29, 2018, 08:35:54 PM
I'm debating on trading/selling my C6ZF dated last week of July 1965 for a Holley 3259 or 3259-1 carburetor.  THis carb has been rebuilt in late 2017.

If you are open to trading/buying/selling please contact me.

Don't do it, those are hard to find and if it matches the car and the tags are correct, your chances of finding one again, if you ever change your mind, are slim to none... it took me 10 years to find a correct one for my car, although I have the automatic one, C6ZF-F which is a little harder to locate...

I've debated doing it because I know I plan on never using it since my kar is a gt350 tribute. I have good days and bad days about selling it. ;)

+1 to Morsel. I would  put it on the shelf and forget about it for now. It’s a very good investment. And when you do decide to part with it, I’m sure there will be plenty who need it for their concourse restoration down the road. Holley 3259‘s are readily available as many replacement carbs were made, unless you’re looking for a date correct carb which in that case would run you a lot of money. If you’re making a clone I would look for a Holley 3259 replacement carb, or do what I did, which was take a Holley  4118 and have it rebuilt with Le Mans fuel bowls. I’ve been running one on my clone for about 10 years with not one issue and great performance to boot.

Here is a pic of one of my spare Holley 4118s. These can be found for around $100-$150. The bowls, on the other hand, can be as much as the carb. I’ve seen the bowls alone go for upwards of $200.
