Title: Got My 1971 Mach I Registered Today
Post by: Laurie S. on November 18, 2010, 03:43:12 PM
I officially got the title transferred today and my 1971 Mach I is now an Arizona car.  It's been to one show so far and I've started making "to do" lists.  Some areas are very good, and some need some work.  The seats and carpet are original and are in excellent condition.  The gauge pods will need to be rechromed, but other than that, they are in excellent condition.  I plan on staying close to concours with this car, but it won't be shown in that class.  It will be, however, a very fun driver.  :)

Congratulations! I'm glad to see someone showing interest in the 71-73 cars. Can you give me some details about the car, maybe some pictures.

Chuck

Sure, it's a Dearborn-built car sold out of the Denver DSO.  It was in Denver until seven years ago when my friend, who owns a vintage muscle car dealership in Ohio, bought it.  I got it from him.  It has 52,000 original miles, but it appears that a number of those miles came in quarter-mile increments.   ;)

It's a good solid car, but needs a ground-up restoration, which it will get starting next year.  It has the 351C 2V, automatic transmission, air conditioning, power steering, floor console, all tinted glass, rear window louvers (currently not on the car), and Ram Air (also not currently on the car).  Here are a couple of pictures:
