Title: vert torsion bars

I'm having one of those brain cramp moments, vert trunk torsion bars, black or body color?

Usually black, then installed before the car was painted... so the final finish would be exterior color.

Thats what I was thinking. 308 are black but probably PO. I also have 2524 here but its a black car so that doesn't help much. Were the anti rattle spiral rubbers in place when painted?

After reviewing many pictures with Jeff, I believe that Metuchen built 67 & 68 Mustangs had the anti-rattle pad installed after paint.
