I'm looking at bidding on a engine block. The block is in Kunkletown, Pa and I need to get it to North Dakota. Any suggestions on shippers and packaging would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
David,

Can be put on a pallet and shipped truck freight. Check locally to see what trucking companies there are. You'll save a little $$ if you can pick up at the shipping dock.

I have used www.uship.com for shipping across the us, its has a long list of shipping companies and the going rates.
Not an engine, but i got a front bench seat for my 68 from south carolina to california for $169.

Try either Forward Air: http://www.forwardair.com/locations/falocations.htm (http://www.forwardair.com/locations/falocations.htm)
or Engine Shipping: http://www.engineshipping.com/ (http://www.engineshipping.com/)
I've had good luck with both.

Thanks a bunch guys for the tips, I did win the bid and scored a date correct replacement block now I just need to get here to North Dakota. If you guys don't know where that is it's by South Dakota, just kidding if you have any friends in the oil business you've heard of ND.
