anybody see a brown/beige sealer topcoat on their btm floors. this is off my orig e brake bracket- to be welded onto new floor pans early dec/69 production used a heat gun to remove heavy undercoating wiped down front frame rails with parts washer solvent and they both revealed similar sealer color with fact med blue metallic overspray or is the color just old fact oxide primer discolored over the yrs 0T02G139978

With that said (hard to be sure of the exact color in a digital picture) this cars floor appears to be similar (well maybe) though it looks to be a washed out version of the oxide

hi jeff- thanks for the input. i thought it could be washed out red too. so i guess metuchen just went red oxide without sealer topcoat.

The product (according to Ford) was an epoxy product that did not need a topcoat to protect the undercarriage they believed - along with certain panels being galvanized ;)
