Title: Heater Resistor Fasteners
Post by: Sunlitgold68 on March 01, 2010, 03:50:14 PM
Does anybody know where you get the small round white plastic fasteners that secure the heater resistor to the heater box?

I believe a Panduit Push Rivet Part # NR1-C is as close as you can get. Dimensionally checks out almost identical to my 66 heater box. See attached links.

Sounds like you are going to do the entire restoration yourself! I have a few of the original white fasteners.

I've done as much as I can, the heater box turned out nice. There's still quite a bit for you to do, plus you can fix anything I messed up  ::)

I thought I'd revive this old thread in case anyone is looking for these unusual nylon retainer pins.  West Coast Cougar sells an accurate reproduction.
