The clutch is marked E-C7AE-C and the car has air with thermactor and a C7ZE radiator, only the date code can be read after the c7ze would this be a extra cooling package ?

A lot of questions are needing to be asked before a informed answer can be given. You may know what application you are working with but others don't  ;). Year and engine would be needed clarification as well as suffix on radiator . C7ZE engineering number prefix just means it is for Mustang . It is not a date code. Not sure if your question is aimed at fan clutch or radiator .

67 390 GT motor, I couldn't find any info about the number on the fan clutch as my searches came up with only the part number ending in A. The radiator side has C7ZE machine stamped at the top and the some numbers hand stamped below that but only the date of C23 is readable thanks. My question is the clutch a factory or service part and what suffix would the 3 row radiator be thanks.

Could be either - we would need a picture of the base (where the stampings are) and the coil area that faces the radiator

.... what suffix would the 3 row radiator be thanks.

There is a handful but for the one correct for your car I think its best you provide when the car was built, where it was built and what transmission the car originally came with.

Might want to include your VIN or info in your signature so you don't  have to include this every time you ask a question since someone will be asking for it over and over again ;)

Build date of 28D,  Dearborn and it came with a C6. Clutch has holes not slots and no bushing for  mounting, working on pics thanks.

For the radiators even the year of production MPC's are much help

Looking at the

- assembly manuals they show   as the original radiator

C7ZE-8005-D Standard cooling

C7ZE-8055-G Extra cooling

(part numbers)

- Max at AMK (not sure of his source) shows

C7ZE-E2 for 390 auto without AC

C7ZE-G2 for 390 auto with AC

(Engineering numbers - ones stamped on the radiator side strap in your case)

For the Fan part of your question

Clutch has holes not slots and no bushing for  mounting, working on pics thanks.

Does it look exactly like this?

Sure Bob can help from here :)

The C7ZE-A as Jeff pictured is the most likely fan clutch you would see on your application car.   The radiator C7ZE-G2 which is heavy duty cooling ( stamped on the sided strap for Dearborn built cars)would be the most likely radiator for your application . The Dearborn radiator would only have the FOMOCO trademark on the top tank and nothing else.

Would point out for everyone the finish on the coil spring is not correct (whole center has been touched up with rattle can)  but its real difficult to see on a completed car

Love detail of the fine ribs/rings around the base in the metal

Maybe someone can see more than I can. I read the C28 as the build date as that's a month before the car build date.

No , the shaft was shorter on the big block Mustang fan clutch. The one you have is for a full size car with a BB engine application because there is more room in a full size car engine compartment. It is basically the same length as the smallblock fan clutch in a Mustang body application .The shaft is longer on the SB clutch in a Mustang body because the SB engine is smaller and sits back farther from the radiator. It will work in a pinch on a BB in a Mustang body but is too close to the radiator.

It appears to be a C7ZE- Z1 which is another heavy duty radiator used in BB 67 Mustangs . The 7C28 is the date code.

Bob, thanks for identifying those for me, do you know if the clutch has a date code on it ? Thanks Paul   Also the clutch is the same size as the replacement I found and places the fan half way in and out of the shroud.

The date code was a ink stamp that was applied to the front cover typically long gone on most. In your picture the year portion has been obliterated however the front cover style is typical for replacements made after 1968. I am sorry that I can not in good conscience give conformation that the C7ZE-C clutch may be original on your car. The probabilities of it being legiamate would approach winning big in the lottery . The C7ZE-C clutch is more likely a replacement on your 67 390 Mustang regardless of similarities you may have found with further replacements.. Replacements are many times compromises of specifications that will WORK on many applications for ease of inventory, but not necessarily like what was used on the assemblyline. Ford does this many times as well as the after market. The good news is that it appears that the radiator is a correct application.
