Vinyl top molding

So I took a real good look at my vinyl top moldings and they are really not worth re-plating them.
There are some very large pits on the edges. It would take a lot of work to fix and I am afraid they will loose there shape during the process. How close are the 67 reproductions? Does the raised portion have the brushed look like my originals seem too?

Similar issue on my '68, same part. Went with the NPD repro's.
Good fit, decent finish. The brushed area is not quite as brushed as the OEM, a bit more chrome-y finish, but overall a good repro part IMHO.
