Which servo and which bolt, on that servo should the C-4 transmission data tag be attached with?

Let me ask it differently.
Does the C-4 Transmission I.D. tag suppose to be on the servo with the aluminum cover or the steel cover?
Which of the four bolts does it go under?  Top/Bottom Front/Rear.

26 Folks have looked at this thread.  Surely someone knows where the transmission tag is suppose to be attached?

It's either on the LH side cover or on one of the tail shaft mounting bolts.  I don't have any good pics of either.

I found this picture of one of your projects.  It apears to be BEFORE disassembly.  Is this where you remember the tag being?  I don't think this was a Metuchen car.  I think it was your light blue GT convt.  I suppose all the C-4's were assembled at a transmission plant somewhere and were all done alike, no matter where they were to be shipped.

This is the correct position i have found the transmission tag on all my San Jose and Dearborn cars. i cannot advise on Metuchan cars as that have all been manual transmission examples. Also just advising that Charles Turners 65 GT convertible was a manual transmission example. Picture is most likely from a previous parts car for the 1965 K code convertible he is presently working on.

Yes, Phill is right.  The GT convertible is a 4 speed car.  Also, I believe he is right about it being from one of the San Jose coupes that were bought as parts cars for the K convertible.  This would have been out of the '65 6 cyl. coupe, 26A scheduled date.

Bryan,

I took these pictures of my Metuchen 67.  The date code on the tag is 6K17.  Now I don't know the history of this trans.  It is possible that it was rebuilt at some point but I doubt they would put the tag back on if they took it off.
