Offered here is a NOS example of the correct Accessory Visor Vanity Mirror which was sold by Ford for 1966-1968 (and probably at least early 1969) Ford cars. Note that this is not the "typical" Accessory mirror sold by the majority of vendors who list one that is for 1966-73.76, etc. cars. The one usually seen is one that was issued by Ford in late 1969 or early 1970. This is one of numerous cases where Ford changed a part's appearance considerably, yet retained the original Part Number. The original issue was considerably larger, had ground edges, an aluminum backing, and had two adhesive strips for attaching to the visor. The "re-issue" was smaller, had a black, pebble grained vinyl covering around the edges and back, and usually had a one piece large adhesive backing (almost as large as the mirror itself) for attaching to the visor. I have attached a copy of a comparison from Dave Hammar's long gone "Aloha Mustang" site, done over 20 years ago. Also attached are pictures of the one I am offering for sale.
Note that it comes in the original envelope (these were actually packaged in a box of 6 for the Dealers), the adhesive strips are intact, and it includes the original instruction sheet, "I.S. 2294" with a copyright date of 1966 (the re-issues have "I.S. 3768" with copyright dates ranging from 19xx, 1972, 1975 and 1977).
