Offered here is a used original Master Cylinder cap for 1970-1973 and possibly late 1969 Mustangs. The applications are based on both the Article in CMF's Library on Master Cylinder Caps, by Marcus Anghel. For the 1969 application. Marcus' Article notes that "sometime in 1969", Ford changed to "SAE J 1703" Brake fluid. In my resources, I found the first reference to "SAE J 1703" brake fluid to be in the January, 1969, Ford Shop Tips. Based on the two resources for the J 1703 fluid, it would seem possible that the J1703 cap could have been used after January of 1969, or if Ford decided to wait until the 1970 Model Year before making changes, at least beginning the 1970 Model year. In either case, I'll leave the determination of the applicability of this cap for 69's to those who are more familiar with 1969 Models than I.
The cap offered here (shown in the attached pictures) has been bead blasted, which revealed a very minor beginning of pitting(zoom in to attached pictures). Ready for you to take to the plater, and/ or paint.
