Ok, but without that locator code document I can only guess. There a few items on the spreadsheets I've never really dived into, so this is good to know.

What's interesting is that the assembly manual also lists a lot of parts without a finish code (or it does not agree with what was used).

For me a natural finish is RPM or T9 on a very clean fastener.
A cad finish is much brighter and a P&O is much darker.

I'm actually looking for what has been found on these parts in order to replicate them (perhaps not exactly the same process, but the same look).

A missing number part of the finish code is common in all years Chassis Assembly Manuals.
- (or it does not agree with what was used).
Ford does not like assembly line stoppages so there were a lot of substitutions to keep it going. (Unlike today where a shortage of "chips" has shut down Ford and GM.)
For me a natural finish is RPM or T9 on a very clean fastener.
Think rust prevention, or a garage queen.

Bill : I have found, over the years, that the MPC Illustrations rarely, and Assembly Manuals even more rarely, give hardware finishes. However, don't forget to check the Text Section of MPC's. In this particular case (pun intended), the 1967 only MPC showed nothing. But, the 1960-68 MPC netted the attached ; both bolts and lock washers "S8".

As always, it must be remembered that MPC's are Service Parts, which may, or may not, be the same as Assembly Line parts.

Hope this helps, if nothing else in your future searches.
