Tail pipe, 1970 500
« on: November 11, 2021, 09:59:23 AM »
I realize this sounds kind of dumb, but was the inside of the 1970 500 exhaust pipe painted black?

Thank you

No.

I think you are referring to the exhaust collector and it was bare aluminum

The exhaust collector (behind rear valance )is bare aluminum as has been mentioned . The exhaust port which is connected to the collector (protrudes from rear valance) is bare aluminum also but the inside the opening is blacked out with a semi gloss black paint.
