C6 Speedo Cable Retaining Clips
« on: April 05, 2022, 10:54:11 PM »
1969 Dearborn 11/68 428 C6.

I'm looking at the assembly manual to determine what speedo cable clips are correct for this car. The rear one I guess is supposed to go on the drivers side trans crossmember support with retainer 379816-S32 like this https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/373829.html?a=GoogleProductSearch&gclid=CjwKCAjw0a-SBhBkEiwApljU0sGMtn1HbzGSidbQMWqbbh-W57jB3msvxCXQF2ethArLYNzyjFMw5hoCkYcQAvD_BwE&pk_campaign=689785599&pk_content=154423720703&pk_kwd=&pk_medium=cpc&pk_source=GoogleAds&sessionthemeid=26.

The other one looks like it attaches to the drivers side frame rail by the firewall with 377797-S2 clip which I can't find.

Does anybody have any pictures of these cable clips or original cable routing? What are people using for the second clip if it isn't being reproduced?

Both clips are shown in drawings with dimension in the "FORD Standard and Utility Parts Catalog, January 1969", Osborn number AM0205.

Travels down the drivers side of the front frame, transmission tunnel, across the cross member above the rear of the trans and then into the rear transmission housing

At the frame rail

Dirt and greasy picture but here is one for the cross member
