Windshield Vizor Brackets
« on: March 30, 2011, 01:19:59 PM »
Curiosity question.  While cleaning the visor brackets, C8AB 62041212B & Paramount,, both had a red paint daub.  What possible reason could there be for that ?  9T02R & T5 for paint,  built 9/19/68.  Brian

Never heard or seen those marked in that manner - maybe a supplier thing at that time period for some reason.  Odd IMHO

This was not on the end of the visor arm on the back side of the bracket was it?

Thanks for the reply.  The red daub is on the back side of the visor mounting triangle.  In the same location as the part number and word ' Paramount '.  Can post a pic if you think its warranted.   Brian

Any chance that a previous owner or shop removed them and marked them so they knew which car they went to?  Just another possibility, guess we'll never know for sure why they are there.  Thanks for sharing.

I recall seeing the red dot on some brackets but considered it a anomaly since it wasn't the norm. I didn't stress over what it was for or meant because it is not seen once installed. Bob
