Did every 70 M code Cleveland Mustang have it regardless of transmission?

Found two references (have  a bunch of emission books and training manuals from the period) that state that the Dist-O-Vac system was installed only on automatic equipped cars .

Don't know if export cars would have the system though believe there is a good chance they would.

Due to Federal standards my answer would be yes Ford expected all 70 M code automatics to have come as federally certified - with the system

Like other emissions systems allot of them got removed (either completely or in part) over the years. Remember allot of guys thinking that the speed sensor attached to the speedo cable had something to do with cruise control ;)


Easy to check for mounting holes and signs of missing or present components of the system
