Title: 65 engine and PS pump paint
Post by: e093116 on April 18, 2010, 11:58:51 PM
I know that 65 engines were painted black, I'm wondering if the black should be gloss or satin?

Also, I need to paint a 65 power steering pump.  I saw on the Boss 302 forum that PPG DAR 12366 is the right paint to use for that model, I'm wondering if this same color applies to 65s?  Can someone confirm that this is the case>  If not, does anyone have a PPG number for 65 PS pump paint?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The engine should be semi-gloss black.

The Ford-style power steering pumps were typically black on '65 models.
