Title: '69-'70 Convertible Pads
Post by: Carl on July 18, 2010, 08:15:28 PM
In trying to put a new top on my 'vert, I've noticed that the width of the side pad at the front to cover the reinforcements needs to be about 8 1/2" wide, whereas the webbing pads available from vendors are only 7 1/2" wide.
Does anyone have access to an original (unrestored) that they can look at to verify that the pad covers the full width of the reinforcement?  (The plastic strip on top of the header bow.)  Also, is it also a webbing style pad, similar to the earlier verts, or some other material?   MCA rulebook says canvas, which isn't exactly helpful without a little amplification.
