About to install rebuilt D0ZF-AB carburetor on my 1970 Mustang 428 CJ with reproduction spacer and gasket. Should the gasket be installed as shown or should it be trimmed to match the spacer? Thanks

Would install as shown without trimming the tabs for your year and application

+1
All the carb to spacer gaskets I've seen are 4 hole, but spacer to aluminum intake is open plenum while spacer to cast iron intake is again 4 hole.

Thank you both!

Just make sure the the diameter of the holes in the carb base plate, intake and spacer (well when they have 4 holes) all have the same diameter.
There are gaskets with all kinds of configurations but not normally factory ones ;)
