Looks like it's happening to me too... will check into it, thanks.
-
me too
-
Ok, made a change, see if that works...
-
Have you given any thought to supporting HTTPS for all connections to the site?
-
still nogo for me.
-
No problems here
-
The site is very hard to use. I have to login every time I return and also keep getting "Internal Server Error" messages.

I've been trying to apply the redirect, which explains the internal server error. See if it works now.
-
Working normally.
-
I was having the same issue until I updated my bookmark after logging in.
-
Thanks, I've implemented an https redirect.

-
Looks like no issues with using Chrome, the https redirect is working fine.
The redirect also works in other browsers, but MS IE Explorer and Edge are acting wonky... showing 2 forum headers, requiring login twice each time the browser is opened. I'm looking into it. In the meantime, if using Google Chrome is an option for those IE/Edge users, try that out for now.
-
Got a series of error messages then this screen. Had to log in twice to get in.

Yes, that's what I see also with Edge/IE. Working on it.
-
still wonky here...double header etc for me.
-
Just tried it on my I phone 10 same thing happened. Makes me log in twice after a bunch of error messages and weird screens.
-
Things are working fine for me with Edge Version 89.0.774.77 (Official build) (64-bit) on a Windows 10 PC.

Try clearing out the cookies and see what it does. I am still seeing the issue in Edge and also in Safari.

Did that, had to login (was prompted once), all still good. I'm starting from here: https://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php
-
not working in firefox.
-
Looks like this is an issue with the custom forum theme. Will need to compare files to the default them and figure it out.
-
Tried clearing cached cookies, it now stores my password (small victory!) but still made me log in twice and gave these two error screens.
-
The Concours Mustang header is different too.
-
Yes, same issue I'm seeing.
The header is different because I'm testing with the default theme. Once this thing is figured out, will restore the old theme or have Jeff create another.
-

Royce, the first error is because you used an http URL instead of an https URL. Add the "s" in there to get rid of the error:
https://www.concoursmustang.com/
-
Earlier today, it kept my Login. I just went to access the site and had to Login again. Plus now, no Fender Emblem icon on left.
Bob
-
Still having to log in for each visit. This time, I was able to log in on the first try. Its getting better.
Frank
-
Scott that makes sense but I added the "s" and cleared cookies and still get the same message. New header on the login page though.

Well, then I'm stumped. All I can say is that some browsers display that warning when they display a form that looks like it's going to send a password over an unencrypted connection.
Banner image is missing now, but Charles probably knows that.
-
Using latest Foxfire version. Search would not load a couple of times but now back. Header graphic gone but guess you may have removed to work things out.
Thanks for putting in the work to keep things up to date and the site up.
I always long out when I'm not on so I long in every time. Don't have my browser saving password ::)
-
Looks like the reason it works for me is I am using this bookmark:
https://www.concoursmustang.com/forum/index.php
-
No new messages so I refreshed and was taken to the login screen. Entered my name and password and was told I was logged out while making a post (or something similar) and to try again later. Took me 3 tries to get back in.
-
Not an ideal fix, but created a redirect. Should be working now.
-
Working well on my I Phone. Thanks for fixing it!
-
I just added a post and the message box into which you type is infinitely wide. As I type the line keeps going to the right with no auto newline (like word).

I've seen that on mobile devices. I just tested using Chrome and not seeing it.
I believe the login issues are now resolved. There was an old index file in a directory that I'm not sure how it got there. It was dated 2011, so been there a while!
Anyone else with issues, let me know.
-
Fixed for me now.Thanks guys.

Banners back but Gallery button seems to be missing from the top bar
Guess someone is going to have to wait

E-mail sent on that...

After realizing I need an https in the bookmark, things went back to near normal for me on Firefox. However, I do have a complaint:This caused my hair to turn gray (either this or the Covid shots...)I'm now at least 2 days older but not wiser...And I need help finding my hearing aide now. :P

WILL IT HELP IF WE START POSTING IN ALL CAPS SO YOU CAN READ EASIER??? ;D ;D

I?m also having a problem with logging in. I have to reenter login data each time.
-
working ok here except for gallery button....thanks for the diligence charles.
-
First time in months that I did not need to log in! Working great on IE 10 / Edge.

Try clearing browser cookies for the site, log out, close browser and try again.

Yes Charles tells me that is something we have to purchase or license to get back working again. Challenges that come with the success of the site and longevity
Working on it
-
ok, is the gallery content still out there just not available? how about starting a donation thread?
-

Pictures stored and uploaded in the gallery are still visible in post so yes it appears the pictures are still there - just an access/software issue.
Don't believe we need a donation thread - the on going support by the members and visitors has been nice and appreciated Though not sure the donation button is available currently. Something else for Charles to deal with
-
My weird edit window issue is still there.
I found the right side of the window -- it's 483 characters wide!
I'm not sure if this has been addressed but when I click on pictures I get the giant picture.

Yes! My PayPal account is Midlife@yourjoking.com
and please use friends/family. I can use all the donations you can provide!

New Gallery version installed. Let me know of any issues.
Bill, I see the issues with the text box...
-
Bill,
Here is a workaround until I find out if this is an actual issue with smf.
Go to your profile, select Account Settings and then Choose Modify Profile\Look & Layout. Check the box for: Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default.
-
For me, hovering over the message topic used to bring up a text box with the beginning of the topic text. Not happening now?

Charles,
Yep, that does it.
Good man!

I miss this feature too.

I am having trouble with the dialog box but don't see that button? Here is what I see Charles:

It's the 'Show WYSIWYG' one...

Awesome that fixed it!!!!!!

So the WYSIWYG is supposed to bring back the preview with hover? Didn't work for me :(
-

That was for the over-size text area when posting.
Checking into the hover preview.
-
Charles, I have noticed that pics posted ( or looked at by me ) seem to be being made larger so much so a slide bar is at the bottom of pic to view the whole thing ( losing detail ) I know sizing is the posters responsibility but this didnt seem to be an issue before.
-
The large image when clicking on a pic came about when we lost the
Prev pic | Next Pic | Expand Pic | X header above the pictures.
The picture initially showed in the thread as a 100 pix (roughly) thumbnail that when clicked would show the pic in something like a 500x500 size. Then the header would allow the picture options.
The SAAC site also misses this feature.
-
Made some changes and working on restoring the old theme... please be patient.
I'll also try to get the picture viewer installed and hover preview.
If anything is recently broken, please let me know.
-
Mine was fine for a few days, but now back to having to sign in each time I come here, plus Fender Emblem icons have once again been replaced by a "page" icon.
Bob
-
It's a new set of files, so would expect everyone to have to login at least once since that change was made. The logos are part of the concours theme, which I'm working to restore.
-
I turned WYSIWG off and all is well again.
For extra credit I can post more than 1 pic attachment. For the last 6 mo. or better (time flies) I had to post 1 pic in the attachment area, save and then modify to add others.

Just as a test/question. For you on how ever your viewing the site do pictures in both of the following threads look to be the same size and lack the need for slide bar?
Thanks

Yes both of these posts size the pics as they normally have been seen.
-
It has been working fine for me the last few days however starting today every time I come to the forum it makes me log in again even though I click on the keep logged in forever icon. Not a big problem because autofill does the work but kind of a nuisance having a extra step every time.

Try clearing cookies for the site and history.
I'm staying logged in ok.

Not sure if you are doing something to the forum or not, but I got this again today

I will keep my fingers crossed because I didn't have to log on this time . I will clear cookies as you suggested for good measure. Thanks

Yes, sorry, was working on it quite a bit earlier. Should be ok for now, just trying to figure out adding back a few mods like the image viewer and other things.
-
Charles when I click on a photo often it does not come up and when it does it is too large to be seen fully on the screen. Do I need to do something? I have logged out and back in.
-
That is one of the last items that is giving problems. There's a mod (add-on) to the forum which does the image resizing and next/back buttons which won't install without errors. Will try again from the beginning when I can.

Any progress on the image resizing issue? I'm now at the point where it is useless to expand a picture as I have to scroll down to scroll right then scroll up to see if I can see the particular feature in question.

+1
And then let the SAAC forum know!

I open the picture in a new window (my browser allows that). It opens filling the screen. If I "click" it, goes to almost useless size.
When I post a picture, it has been edited in an Adobe Photoshop app (I got a couple others as well) to a usable size, 6 x 8 inches and 150dpi. Let's see if that is still true.
Jim
I found the unedited original, from July 2015 to use as a comparison.
-
i can open with windows photo viewer. about 3/4 screen. then mouse wheel will enlarge pic to whatever i want.
-
There are all sorts of work-arounds.
That's not the point.
It used to work well and now we have to kludge together solutions that require multiple mouse clicks per picture.

Are you still using Windows 95? ;)
-
Sorry guys. I put in a couple dozen hours on this and will have to work back up my motivation to go round 2. I got everything updated and looking like it did last time, but when I try to install the image mod, it fails. I?ll definitely look into it at some point though.

Some of us are still using Bob. ;D
Thanks for the tip of opening the picture in a new tab: works great! Less Filling! Works Great!

Thanks Charles Not sure why all the photos are giant sized instead of normal like before. IS there a way to adjust this so that the photos view normal sized
-
Getting the super sized pictures in some posts on other forums that use the same software so we're not the only ones

I haven't tried it, but there was a reply here saying to right click on an image and open in a new tab or new window.
Unfortunately, the SMF software (the forum), does not come with the image viewer as part of the base install. It's a 3rd party 'mod', that has to be applied, which I haven't been able to install the 'normal' way.

"Right click" is your friend. And, on Cinco de Mayo, so is tequila.
