Title: Windshield Screw
Post by: Flade on December 08, 2022, 01:33:42 PM
What do we know about the screw installed in some cars in the upper corner of the windshield?  From some limited research it seems to used on many 65 Dearborn cars.  Most cars had only the drivers side, some had both.

May be a fix used on the line for cars that didn't have a good fit of the trim. For example the retaining pins installed incorrectly. Got to get the fit right for the inspector to check off on it Have seen other pieces of hardware used in some rare cases on pre 69 cars

Of course this could also be a body shop trick to make everything line up. Like using wood shims and such
